They take their cue from old Oriental pop, classic AM radio, and the baroque melancholy of groups like Blonde Redhead and Broadcast. The band play hypnotic lullabies through a filter of cheap keyboards and guitars.

Circle Takes the Square (often abbreviated CTTS) is a band from Savannah, Georgia, USA. The band formed in 2001 as a four-piece and after their first two releases they lost a guitarist but gained another in late 2004. What listeners tend to notice first about the band is the loud screaming of both male and female vocals that often function in a kind of call and response. Skillful, chaotic drumming coupled with intense, highly technical bass/guitar work have served to separate the band from most others in the screamo genre.

There is more than one band/artist called Lovechild. 1) Lovechild were an indie rock band from Northern Ireland, best known for the song The Siren. Gothic rockers Solemn Novena formed in early 2006, with a mission of creating guitar orientated Gothic Rock, no techno bleepy influences or metal posturing for these guys, oh no. This had to be straight down the middle goth, just like the 90’s had never happened. Or this century either. Sick of going to ‘gothic’ nightclubs and spending the nights looking moody in the corners, secretly wishing they’d play 'Serpent’s Kiss' (so they could display the light bulb changing and apple picking dance moves...

Dean & Britta is a musical duo consisting of Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips, both former members of Luna. Wareham had formed Luna in 1992 after leaving his first band, Galaxie 500. Phillips joined Luna in 2000, replacing bassist Justin Harwood. Their first album started out as a Wareham solo project, but when he heard Phillips' demos, he asked her to join him. After Luna broke up in 2005, Dean & Britta spent the next year working on film scores (most notably Noah Baumbach's movie, The Squid and the Whale), and promoting the documentary film of Luna's farewell tour Tell Me Do You Miss Me.
