Stuart Braithwaite

Stuart Leslie Braithwaite (born 10 May 1976) is the lead member of the Scottish post-rock band Mogwai. He mainly plays electric guitar, and sometimes sings. He grew up listening to records by The Cure, Joy Division, The Stooges, The Velvet Underground, Black Sabbath, and many other artists. Disintegration by The Cure was the first album he bought. While learning guitar, the first song he learned to play was "Heroin" by The Velvet Underground. He went to Stow College in Glasgow at one point, playing the guitar solo from "Another Girl, Another Planet" by The Only Ones to get in.

There has been more than one artist to use the name Sleepless. 1.Sleepless is a Dark Progressive Metal band from Israel, they released Winds Blow Higher in 2001 and now they are split-up. 2.Sleepless is from Tucson, Arizona, formed in 2009. 3.A hungarian deathcore band from Székesfehérvár. 4.Sleepless were originally known under the German name Die Schlaflosen. Formed in 1982 when guitarist Arch Stanton met up with Singers Cloudia Wintermute & Lucretia, and bassist Roland Hammerl. They immediatly found they had an amazing chemistry together and improvasation was the key to their sound.

Jakob is a New Zealand band, based in Napier, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. The band consists of guitarist Jeff Boyle; bassist Maurice Beckett; and drummer Jason Johnston. They have been compared to such bands as Mogwai, Sonic Youth, and High Dependency Unit, though they largely eschew any vocals or samples in their songs. The band formed in July 1998, and began by opening for New Zealand bands Salmonella Dub and Pitch Black at the local pub O'Flaherty's.

The Morning After Girls

The Morning After Girls is a pop rock band, in the vein of The Dandy Warhols, The Vines and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, from Australia. The group originally formed in Melbourne around 2003, however in 2004 founding members Sacha Lucashenko (voice/guitars) and Martin B. Sleeman (guitars/voice) relocated to Sydney. The group has released two EPs, the first on Rubber Records in 2003 and the second on Fly Music in early 2005, both of which are self-titled. Mid to late 2005 they have toured with The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
