Cwtch (pronounced 'kutch') is a musical collaboration between Marie Craven (Pixieguts) and Paul Foster (Dementio13). Cardiff-based Dementio13 and Australia-based Pixieguts became online collaborators in 2008. The music is a mixture of melodic , -tinged and with impressionistic lyrics and themes. Lyrics are from the writings of Pixieguts, TRavvy, Titee, Nita Disaster, Adrian Carter, Reconsiderate, Lynne DeSilva-Johnson, Dementio13, Gunda G.

Crispy Ambulance were formed in Manchester (UK) in 1978 by Alan Hempsall (vocals), Keith Darbyshire (bass), Gary Madeley (drums) and Robert Davenport (guitar). Following a self-released debut single From the Cradle to the Grave (Aural Assault, 1980) the band joined Factory Records. Singles Not What I Expected (Factory, 1980) and Live on a Hot August Night (Factory Benelux, 1981, produced by Martin Hannett) preceded the album The Plateau Phase (Factory Benelux, 1981), and final single Sexus (also Factory Benelux, 1981).

The Wake

There have been at least 3 bands called The Wake, including a Scottish post-punk band, an American goth band and a Finnish death metal band. 1. The Wake were a Scottish post punk and later indie pop band, founded in Glasgow in 1981 by Gerard “Caesar” McInulty (formerly of Altered Images), Steven Allen and Joe Donnelly, who was later replaced by Bobby Gillespie. Steven’s sister Carolyn Allen soon joined, and remained in the band until its end.

The Factory Years The leicester based singer songwriter (who has seen a revival of interest in the mid 2000's and a new label, Burning Shed) was an early member of the factory Records roster. Following the death of Ian Curtis (lead singer in Joy Division), Hewick was trialed by Factory owner Tony Wilson, who placed him in the studio with the remaining members of Joy Division (Peter Hook, Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris) and producer Martin Hannett to record the track Haystack.

The band was originally formed in 1975 by college friends Mike Finney (vocals) and Steve Perrin (guitar),[1] alongside Lawrence Tickle (bass) and Tony Trap (drums).[2] The band changed tack with the advent of punk in 1977 and Finney and Perrin recruited a new line-up of Pip Nicholls (bass), Adrian Wright (guitar), and Alec Sidebottom (drums, formerly of The Purple Gang), now mixing punk rock with sixties influences.
