Cwtch (pronounced 'kutch') is a musical collaboration between Marie Craven (Pixieguts) and Paul Foster (Dementio13). "John Foxx" is the stage name of English musician Dennis Leigh; born on the 26th of September 1947 in Chorley, Lancashire, England. He was the original lead singer of the band "Ultravox!" (previously known as "Tiger Lily" and latterly as "Ultravox"), before embarking on a solo career in 1979. CFCF is the stage name of Canadian electronic musician Michael Silver. Based in Montreal, Silver took the name CFCF from the call sign of the city's CFCF-TV. CFCF's debut LP, Continent, was an impressive collage of vintage electronic textures evoking grandiose landscapes worthy of a Michael Mann film. The River, an EP based partly on Werner Herzog's classic film Fitzcarraldo, deepened a growing obsession with conjuring far-away landscapes and voyages through a style which is at times melancholy, propulsive and ecstatic.
The Presets are Julian Hamilton (keyboard and vocals) and Kim Moyes (drums and keyboard). They are an electronic two piece from Sydney, Australia who met when they were both members of Prop. Hamilton and Moyes broke off from Prop in 2003, when they remixed a track, "Magnetic Highway", with "harder electronic edges" under the name The Presets. Constantin is a singer-songwriter, music producer and record mixer. Along with music producer Jaz ‘Ill Child’ Seehra they produce and perform electro pop music. Constantin also produced, mixed and engineered for many major artists such as Paul McCartney, The Magic Numbers, Ally McErlaine (Texas), Lethal B and many more. The Duo has set up a computer based studio with vintage but also new synthesizers in North Wembley in London where they produce Constantin’s new album.
"Blancmange" were formed in Harrow in 1979, by vocalist, Neil Arthur (born on 15 August 1958, in Darwen, Lancashire); and instrumentalist Stephen Luscombe (born on 29 October 1954, in Hillingdon, Middlesex). They released their first EP "Irene and Mavis" the following year, but had their first real exposure via a track on the seminal "Some Bizarre" compilation album, alongside fellow acts "Soft Cell" and "Depeche Mode". This led to them signing a deal with London Records.
Frank Chickens were an Anglo-Japanese group based in London, performing their quirky brand of pop from 1982 to 2001. The founder members were Kazuko Hohki and Kazumi Taguchi. Taguchi was later replaced by Atsuko Kamura and then Chika Nakagawa and others in the 1990s. Their best known song was We Are Ninja (Not Geisha), which they continued to perform at every gig. According to Discogs, their last release was a remix 12" of the song, We Are Ninja (2000).
