Some boys in Florida making beautiful pop songs. Their sound can be described like Stone Roses taking trip through time with the time machine ending up in swinging '60s. If you like the sound of The Clientele, Beachwood Sparks, The Tyde, Talulah Gosh, Stars, you're in the right place. These Americans are the other sons of Sarah Records, with a sound clearly influenced by Field Mice, or even very similar to contemporary bands such as Air France. 1- Shazam (not to be confused with band The Shazam) is producer Cameron Parkin from Perth, Western Australia. Getting releases pressed to vinyl since he was 16, his current output is somewhat along the lines of French House and Electro-Funk (in the truest/purest sense of the terminology). 2- Shazam is a German eurodance project produced by Graham Bonney, Andreas Herchenbach and Guido Scheffler.
Shazam released the singles "No Guarantee" and "Baby Baby Baby".
Korallreven are Marcus Joons and Daniel Tjäder.
It all started on the South Pacific island Samoa some years ago when Marcus was there for a longer vacation and one day, while chillin’ under a coconut tree, got a feeling of how he wanted the pop music of his dreams to be. Spiritual like the local Samoan Catholic church choirs, hypnotic like the breathtaking tropical nature and, overall, a feeling of that you finally had reached to ”the other side”.
