Phoebe Killdeer and the Short Straws

At a young age Phoebe Killdeer wanted to write and create her own music, she was already listening to what would become her main influences: Tom Waits, Art of Noise, Yma Sumac, Nick Cave, Carmen McRae… «I have a fascination with words and lyrics, the way they are such obvious simple things and yet they come alive with complexity and full with feeling depending on the way you place them and with which tone you pronounce or accentuate them.

Kerry Norton

The British Kerry Norton is first and foremost an actress. She has a very good singing voice however, and she was discovered by the Dutch producer Tom Peters. Consequently, she sang "Everlasting Love" in a commercial for the Dutch beer-brand Grolsch. Not long after, she released her first album. Kerry lives with her husband (actor Jamie Bamber) and their three children in Vancouver, Canada.

Thievery Corporation

Thievery Corporation is a Washington, D.C.-based recording artist and DJ duo consisting of Rob Garza and Eric Hilton and their supporting artists. Their music style mixes elements of dub, acid jazz, indian classical and brazilian (such as bossa nova) with a lounge aesthetic. Thievery Corporation is on the Eighteenth Street Lounge record label named after the DC club owned by Eric Hilton, but several of their singles and EP's appear on the 4AD and !K7 labels.

Lil' Louis

Lil Louis is the stage name used by Chicago-born house music producer and DJ Louis Burns. He scored a number of hits on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the eighties and nineties, three of which hit #1.
His best known song, "French Kiss," featured vocals by Shawn Christopher and spent two weeks at #1 on the dance chart in 1989. The house track (now considered a classic) features a several-minutes-long breakdown in which the music gradually slowed down in tempo to a complete stop and left nothing but orgasmic moaning from Ms.

BADBADNOTGOOD is pianist Matt Tavares, bassist Chester Stone Hansen, and drummer Alex Sowinski, who is usually seen wearing a pig mask. The trio met at Humber College in Toronto, Canada and bonded over their mutual musical interests—OFWGKTA, Gucci Mane, and Waka Flocka Flame. Rovo is a psychedelic rock-jazz band founded in 1996 in Tokyo by former Boredoms guitarist Seiichi Yamamoto (山本精一), electric violinist Yuji Katsui (勝井祐二), and synthesizer/effects technician Tatsuki Masuko (益子樹), with Jin Harada (原田仁) on bass guitar, Hiroshi Nakanishi (中西宏司) on synths, and featuring two drummers/percussionists, the prolific Yasuhiro Yoshigaki (芳垣安洋) (of legendary improv noise group Ground-Zero) and Yoichi Okabe (岡部洋一).
