An easy-listening trip-hopster similar in style and intent to his countrymen Air and Dimitri from Paris, Kid Loco has an even stronger kinship with the long tradition of French pop characterized by Serge Gainsbourg. Otherwise known as Jean-Yves Prieur, he began playing the guitar at the age of 13 and played in several French punk groups during the early '80s. He moved on to production as well by the end of the decade, and moved on to reggae and hip-hop with a band named Mega Reefer Scratch.

---------- 1) Skye Edwards is a British singer, born 1974 in south east London. Until 2003, she was and now again is, the lead singer of the band Morcheeba. Edwards decided to shorten her name to Skye by taking the first letter of each of her names (Shirley Klarisse Yonavive) and putting them together. She has also sung on two charity collaborations, Perfect Day 1997, in aid of BBC Children in Need and Band Aid 20, in 2004, in aid of famine relief in Sudan, Africa. Edwards has two children, a son and a daughter.
Melbourne septet The Bon Scotts are not an AC/DC covers band but a bittersweet mix of playful melodies, arresting percussion and sing-along choruses. SCREW is a visual kei band from Japan.
They originally started out in March 2006 under Speeddisk label and are now signed under the 'Indie PSC' label (PS COMPANY Co.,Ltd). SCREW expresses the concept that "everybody has darkness inside -- the poisonous chemicals of darkness have to be screwed out of the body." They were originally a four-piece band, but became a twin guitar band when Manabu joined in June 2007. At the start of 2010, their new bassist Rui (ex Jewel joined the band, after their previous bassist Yuuto left the band in the beginning of the year.
Stars of the Lid are a band specializing in drone-based ambient music. They list among their influences minimalist and electronic composers such as Arvo Pärt, Zbigniew Preisner, Gavin Bryars, and Henryk Górecki, as well as Talk Talk (both bands have tracks named "Taphead"), post-rock artists Labradford, and ambient innovator Brian Eno. Their music largely consists of beatless soundscapes, composed of droning, effects-treated guitars along with piano, strings, and horns; volume swells and feedback fill the gap of rhythmic instruments, providing dynamic movement within the songs.
