Finsterforst

In late 2004, Tobias Weinreich (Bass), Sebastian Scherrer (Keyboards), Marco Schomas (Vocals) and Simon Schillinger (Guitar) founded Finsterforst. They were still seeking more members however, so instead concentrated purely on songwriting. As a result, they created many songs without being able to perform them until later on. In spring 2005 the band decided to introduce an accordion player (Johannes Joseph) into the mix, a choice which has helped to shape their unique sound.

Jerome Isma-Ae

Jerome Isma-Ae, born in Munich with Thai-roots, is an out-and out musician. He visited a musical elementary school and composed very early melodies on the piano. Later he played in a heavy metal band at his school as the bassist. His first tracks were released in 1994 ("Under 100Hz") on the techno-cult label Delirium. He played his first live-act in the same year at a rave, alongside legendary producers and DJ-Team Masters at Work. With his performance as a live-act he also began DJing.

Custard

1. Custard were a masterful band of pop craftsmen with an uncanny grasp of the two-minute-something single who seemed to have equal amounts of Devo, Pavement and, oddly, disco in their genetic makeup. They were also blessed with singer Dave McCormack, whose voice was innocent and boyish-sounding enough to get away with things that might ordinarily cause a fuss – from songs about speed labs to geeky dedications to Jim Henson and an infamous declaration that “music is crap”.
