The musical collaboration of AM & Shawn Lee has resulted in a unique brand of electro-soul that achieves seamless pop perfection, while mining a startlingly broad array of stylistic influences. Baffin Island is a collaboration between Melanie Whittle (The Hermit Crabs), Jeremy Jensen and Jake Hite (both of The Very Most).
Named after the exact midpoint between Boise, Idaho, USA and Glasgow, Scotland, UK, Baffin Island combines the densely-layered indie pop of Boise's The Very Most with the more stripped down, thoughtful folky indie pop of Glasgow's The Hermit Crabs. The result is as sweet as you'd expect with healthy doses of Phil Spector,handclaps, delicate vocals, and lots and lots of reverb.

HaWthorn

HaWthorn is a neofolk cooperation of Tony Wakeford (Sol Invictus) and Matt Howden (Sieben). Together they have developed an experimental take on modern folk, with their vocals and Matt's violin leading the way in almost every song. They have released one album so far, The Murky Brine (2004), and have appeared on the writ in Water split with Sol Invictus and Sieben with two tracks. They have also released two albums under the name of Howden/Wakeford.
