Engineers

Engineers are not like any other band. Onstage Simon Phipps is the singer, Dan Macbean is the guitarist, Mark Peters is the bassist and Sweeney is the drummer, but the real clue is in their name: they approach their music like engineers, carefully constructing wonderful walls of sound. Following the rapturous reception that greeted their mini-album Folly in 2004 and debut Engineers the following year, it’s taken them a long time to build the epic that is Three Fact Fader.

Planning for Burial

Following the release of the underrated Leaving (on Enemies List, home of Have A Nice Life) Planning For Burial has been sporadically popping up in live venues (sharing the stage with a wide breadth of musical compatriots from Chelsea Wolfe to Deafheaven while seeming out of place at none) along the east and west coasts and releasing a slew of EPs and splits over the last 3 years (all while writing and recording a mythical second album that has been dangled in front of his obsessive fans as coming soon for almost three years).

Redrum

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Redrum - (often stylized as REDRUM) is a Japanese indie/shoegaze rock band who formed in 1996 with the decisive goal of becoming a band similar to Portishead for Japan. The members of the band consist of Yumi (vocals), Tsuyoshi (guitar) and Kazi (drums). The role of bassist officially changed two times and was helmed primarily by Soto who joined the band early on and stayed until his departure in December 2004. Their catalogue of works consists of only a few proper albums, several mini albums and maxi singles.

Bleach

Bleach is the name of more than one band; There is a blistering all-girl Japanese rock trio, an American rock group (see below), as well as a British group (see below). They all redirect here. == Bleach (JP) == Bleach (alternatively called Bleach03 or Bleachmobile) was an all-female punk trio from Okinawa, Japan. The members included, Kanna on guitar and vocals, Miya on bass and Sayuri on drums. Kanna was the primary lyricist. Citing artistic differences, Bleach disbanded on June 10, 2009, less than a month before the release of their final album "bleach stone."

Holmes

Sincere, true and honest – three words to describe the music of Holmes, but also three words to describe them as a band. When you meet Holmes either through the speakers of your stereo, at the house of a friend or live in concert you will soon realize that you have found a new friend. I first met Holmes in 2009 through their Storm EP and after playing those four tracks for five or six hours straight during a rainy Friday afternoon I soon realized that I would have to get their debut album pronto...

The High wire

“… lusciously woozy affair, recalling the hazy, narcotic ballads of US dream-popsters Galaxie 500…potent stuff…” Q " MBV - meets - Mercury Rev... gorgeous..." Uncut “… glimmering, sun-kissed guitar pop that it’ll banish the blues in an instant.” NME "The High Wire are lush, like Kissaway Trail hooked on Band of Horses or the gentler swoons of Mercury Rev." The Fly
