Marta Marrero (born May 18, 1969 in Whittier, California, USA), better known as Martika, is a Cuban-American pop singer. As a child she dabbled in acting making her film debut as one of the dancing orphans in the film version of "Annie". As a teen she would star as 'Gloria' on the syndicated children's variety show 'Kids Incorporated'. After outgrowing her role, Martika would turn her focus towards her first love, music.

I Am Sparticus is an experimental pop punk/rock band from Lake Charles, Louisiana who have an ear for melodies buried underneath Sonic Youth sized walls of distortion. Started in 2004 by singer/guitarist Tyler Walker and drummer Matt Daigle, the band soon added guitarist DJ Fontenot and bassist Kim McCord. Kim was replaced by Tyler's long-time girlfriend Jenny Canaday and DJ was replaced by the Noise singer/guitarist Porter Thomas.

The group members are Shirley Manson (vocals, guitars), Steve Marker (guitars, keyboards), Duke Erikson (guitars, keyboards, bass), and Butch Vig (drums, percussion). Erikson, Marker and Vig are also producers and remixers (Vig is best known for producing Nevermind by Nirvana). To date, the band sold over 17 million albums worldwide.
