Mushroomhead is an alt metal outfit that emerged in the 1990s. Mushroomhead's forceful yet melodic alt-metal incorporates elements of hip-hop, metal, alternative as well as industrial. Formed by drummer Skinny in 1993, Mushroomhead was originally a side-project for members of other Cleveland bands. They played their first show on October 22nd of that year. The members wore a variety of masks to hide their identity and for theatrical impact.

1. Lucia Cifarelli is currently a vocalist for the industrial music group KMFDM. She has previously been a member of the bands MDFMK and Drill. She performed on Drill's self-titled release Drill, the MDFMK album, MDFMK as well as the KMFDM albums Attak, WWIII, Hau Ruck, Tohuvabohu, Blitz, and WTF?!. She also has a solo release called From the Land of Volcanos under the moniker "Lucia". KMFDM is an industrial rock band and the brainchild of founding member Sascha Konietzko. It was founded in Paris, France on February 29, 1984 as a joint effort between Konietzko and German painter/multi-media performer Udo Sturm to perform for the opening of an exhibition of young European artists at the Grand Palais.
