Universum is an Australian melodic death metal band from Adelaide. Formed in early 2006, Universum originally were a three-piece before recruiting additional members. They fuse European metal, modern American metal riffage and old school elements. 1) The band is based in Kungsbacka, south of Gothenburg, Sweden. It was formerly known as Northern Shadow, but the name was changed to Nightshade in January 1996. After some serious line-up changes (in fact, the only remaining member is vocalist Daniel Kvist), the first official demo, ‘The Benighted’, was recorded in ART Studio June 1997. A couple of bassplayers later the preparation of the second demo resulted in recruiting a keyboard player.

Naberus

Naberus are a four piece melodic death metal band from Melbourne Australia.
Heavily Influenced by thrash and groove metal they try to blend aggression with melody.
Finally Releasing "Ruins Of Society" in March 09, they are currently scanning the local scene for gigs.

Degradead

Degradead took their chance and went down to Gothenburg and recorded their debut "Til Death Do Us Apart" in IF Studios. The album was produced by a team calling themselves H.O.R.D.E, mixed and engineered by Björn Gelotte and co-engineered by Jesper Strömblad and Daniel Svensson. Result of the recordings is a piece of melodic death metal finding the perfect balance between death metal, thrash metal and catchy melodies, with their already very own signature.

A dark, melodic death metal band from Melbourne, Be'lakor has quickly come to be regarded as one of Australia's most promising and creative metal acts. The band's international reputation has grown rapidly since the release of their 2007 debut, "The Frail Tide," its 2009 follow-up, "Stone's Reach," and most recently, the band's third album, "Of Breath and Bone." 2012 will see Be'lakor return to Europe to play at Germany's Summer Breeze Festival and the Czech Republic's Brutal Assault Festival.

System Divide is a melodic death metal band. Founded in Israel and Belgium in 2008, SYSTEM DIVIDE quickly became a transnational project with in its rank vocalists Sven De Caluwe (Aborted) and Miri Milman (ex-Distorted), longtime friends Cole Martinez (ex Years of Fire, Antenora), Andrew Lenthe (Antenora), and Mike Heller (Malignancy).
SYSTEM DIVIDE set out to revolutionize the conventions of the over-saturated melodic death metal genre, proving that extreme metal can have more depth than blast beats, while female vocals do not have to conform to the precepts of the “Goth” genre.
