The Turn

There are FIVE(!) artists called The Turn. The first is a rock band from Vancouver, Canada. Their self-titled debut album was released in March 2008. They are more commonly referred to as theTURN (http://www.last.fm/music/theTURN). Please fix artist tags! The second is a hardcore punk group from Haverhill, MA, with members of The Auburn System and The Creepy Old Men. The third is a rock duo from New York City, comprising Brian Ripps and Patrick McDermott. They released new EP 'The December Sessions' in early 2009 and are currently working on a full length release for later in the year.

The Red Telephone

The Red Telephone was a Boston-based group that excelled within the standard rock formula of lead guitar, backup guitar, bass, and drums. The Red Telephone consists of:
Matt Hutton - vocals, guitar
Sean Toohey - guitar, vocals
Pat MacDonald - bass, vocals
Mark Britton - drums Initially they were signed to Warner Brothers Records, but their first release languished under improper promotions. They turned to the indie scene with the release of their 5 track EP "Aviation", and then with a followup full length album, "Cellar Songs" on the indie label "Raise Giant Frogs".

PRAXIS

There are several artists with that name. 1) Praxis was an ever-changing musical project led by prolific producer Bill Laswell. Praxis combined elements of different musical genres such as , , and into highly improvised music. The band first appeared in 1992 with the critically acclaimed Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis), Laswell, guitarist Buckethead, keyboardist Bernie Worrell and drummer Bryan ''Brain'' Mantia have defined the direction of the band over the last 15 years.

Serj Tankian

Serj Tankian (born August 21, 1967 in Beirut, Lebanon) is an Armenian-American singer. He started as a singer in the alternative metal band System of a Down and after they went on hiatus he continued his career as a solo artist and producer. He is known for his gritty yet wide vocal range. His solo output mixes various styles and genres, including metal, rock and Armenian musical motifs. At age five, Serj Tankian moved with his parents to Los Angeles, California.

Bloodloss

Originally founded in the early '80s by singer/saxophonist/guitarist Renestair EJ and singer/drummer Martin Bland in Sydney, Australia, Bloodloss' loud blues/Vegas/punk craziness went through two brief periods of existence in that decade. By all accounts the first was the more notorious, concluding with the group trying to torch the studio they were recording in. The late '80s brought reformation and an album release or two, but when former member Stu Spasm invited both core members to join his current band, Lubricated Goat, they concentrated on that for a few years.

There are two music groups using the name eM:
1)Contemplative abstractions bathed in an inviting, dream-like warmth.
2)Polish rock band, which come into being in autumn 1993. Founder is Mariusz Dalecki. Zespół powstał jesienią 1993 roku. Założył go wokalista Mariusz Dalecki. Pierwszy rok działalności eM to rok nauki strojenia gitar. Później była wyższa półka: strojenie instrumentów do siebie. Dziś Mariusz mówi, że najpierw była nazwa, a dopiero potem umiejętności.

Gyroscope

There are two bands with the name Gyroscope. The first is a / band from Perth, Western Australia formed in 1997 by Daniel Sanders (vocals, guitar), Zoran Trivic (guitar), Brad Campbell (bass), and Rob Nassif (drums). They recorded their first demo cassette, First, as Gyroscope Sunday in 1998, and took up playing regularly on the Perth live circuit whilst also finding time for work and school commitments. The second is a psychedelic jazz outfit from Quebec, Canada.

The Freewheelers

The Freewheelers were a rock and roll quintet, consisting of Luther Russell on lead vocals and guitar, Jason Hiller on bass, Dave Sobel on Hammond Organ, Chris Joyner on piano and John Hofer on drums. They were formed in 1989 in Los Angeles, California and disbanded in 1996. They released their debut album, "The Freewheelers", produced by John Fischbach (Stevie Wonder, Carole King, Circle Jerks) on DGC Records in 1991 to much critical acclaim, but poor sales.

New Politics

New Politics: David and Soren had been writing songs together for over three years (for respective solo albums that have yet to see the light of day) when they realized that they had unintentionally started a band. The pair had experimented with every imaginable style of music (every imaginable style) and suddenly recognized that the combination of their musical sensibilities, as witnessed on the 300 songs theyd penned together, created something new and interesting.
