Marathon

There are numerous bands with the name Marathon: 1. Marathon was a melodic punk band from various parts of upstate New York, formed from the ashes of bands such as Standfast, De La Hoya, and Building On Fire. They toured the US and won fans with their sincere political lyrics and catchy melodies. In May of 2006 Marathon played their final two shows in New Brunswick, NJ and Syracuse, NY. Members of Marathon continue to write music and tour the world in bands like Attica! Attica! and Polar Bear Club.

Phil Manzanera

Guitarist best known for his work with Roxy Music, although he also recorded a number of well-regarded albums in the 70s under his own name, with 801 and Quiet Sun. Manzanera continues both to produce and record, with later works incorporating more and more Latin influences (Manzanera's father is Colombian).

Thousand Foot Krutch

Thousand Foot Krutch is a Canadian alternative band formed in 1997, currently composed of Trevor McNevan (vocals), Steve Augustine (drums), Joel Bruyere (bass) and Ty Dietzler (touring guitarist), all of whom are Christians. McNevan and Augustine are also in FM Static; Joel Bruyere, has also started his own side project, entitled The Drawing Room; also McNevan has contributed guest vocals with Three Days Grace, Falling Up, Worth Dying For, Kj-52, Demon Hunter, Hawk Nelson and Manafest.

Irmin Schmidt

Irmin Schmidt (born May 29, 1937) is a keyboard player, producer and composer probably best known as a member of Can. Schmidt received a formal musical education and between 1957 and 1967 he studied under modern composers Karlheinz Stockhausen and Györgi Ligeti. Between 1962 and 1969 he conducted numerous orchestras including Wiener Sinfoniker, Bochumer Sinfoniker, Radio-Sinfonie-Orchester Norddeutscher Rundfunk Hannover and the Dortmunder Ensemble für Neue Musik, which he founded.

Conductors

1) Conductors is a basement blasting band from Mchenry County Illinois (formed in 2007) with what seems to be a never-ending and mysterious series of permutations from winged solo shows to brooding blues trios. One of the only stone-cold solid facts is that they have been known to hang around Murton Dur when they aren't "flagging down the double E" or riding the El in Chicago, to stay close to their train roots.

Slint

Slint was a math rock band consisting of Brian McMahan (guitar and vocals), David Pajo (guitar), Britt Walford (drums), Todd Brashear (bass on Spiderland) and Ethan Buckler (bass on Tweez). They formed in Louisville, Kentucky, United States in 1986. Though they disbanded circa 1991, they are considered to be a major influence on the , , and scenes. Slint's first album Tweez was recorded by legendary engineer Steve Albini in 1987 and released in obscurity on the Jennifer Hartman Records label in 1989.
