The Deadbeats

There are, at least, four bands known as The Deadbeats: 1) An early punk band 2) A UK group. 3) A Swedish rock group. 4) A funky, jazzy hip-hop band currently residing in Honolulu Hawaii. 1) An early LA art punk band on the legendary Dangerhouse Records label. In 1978 they released their first and only EP titled Kill The Hippies. Members: Scott Guerin (vocals), Geza X (of Geza X and the Mommymen - guitar), Pat Delaney (of BPeople & The Romans - sax), Pasquale Amadeo (bass) & Shaun Guerin (drums).

(1) Face is a female singer from the UK, bringing luscious vocals to many broken beat/nu-jazz tracks, working with highly acclaimed producers like 4 Hero, Mondo Grosso and Domu. http://www.myspace.com/faceuk (2) Face is a nationally recognized all-vocal rock band bringing a new edge and attitude to the human voice. Using the full range of sounds that the voice can produce, including vocal percussion or “beat-box,” Face performs rock, pop, funk and upbeat jazz. Fist

There are at least 3 artists known under this name: 1) Fist (originally called Axe) was one of several early NWOBHM bands who were signed to MCA records at about the same time (others in this group were Quartz, Tygers Of Pan Tang, and White Spirit). Their sound wasn't too different from their contemporaries, with the exception being they had a slightly more melodic feel to their songs. Two albums were released, and like many other NWOBHM bands, they faded away soon after, disbanding in 1984.
