Joshua Bell is an internationally-acclaimed American violinist known for the versatility of his musical understanding as well as his technical skill. Michael Giacchino (pronounced juh-kee-no) (born 1967, Riverside, New Jersey) is an American soundtrack composer who has composed several multi-award winning scores for many popular movies, television series and video games. He attended the Evening Division at the Juilliard School, as well as the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he acquired a degree in film production and a minor degree in History.

Da Lata was originally founded by musician and producer Chris Franck and DJ Patrick Forge in the summer of 1996. The idea for the project was to blend afro-brazilian influences with modern dance sensibility incorporating both acoustic and electronic elements in the music. Early experimentation came in the form of remixes rather than original material which proved to be a great way of honing the sound and at the same time gave exposure to the name.

As well as his solo releases he has contributed to music by 4hero, The Herbaliser and The Heritage Orchestra among others. He is currently active with The Tomorrow Band and Scorched Earth. Originally from Birmingham, UK, he began his professional career with The K-Creative in the early 90s acid jazz boom, and also worked with Palm Skin Productions, Jessica Lauren and Jhelisa Anderson.
