The Lodger was formulated by Pontefract-born songwriter Ben Siddall inside a Leeds bedsit. After a few 7-inch singles on a variety of independent labels such as Angular Records and Dance to the Radio, a debut album titled
Jonah Matranga is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who has released a variety of solo material under both his own name and onelinedrawing, and has previously been part of the bands FAR, New End Original (an anagram of "onelinedrawing") and Gratitude. Much of his solo material has also been self-published, though often subsequently distributed through labels such as Crank! and Corrupted Image. However, his two full-length onelinedrawing albums, Visitor (2002) and The Volunteers (2004) were released by Jade Tree Records.
After coming off the road in mid-2005, following months of touring in support of their Triple Crown debut, Lafcadio, from Long Island, New York, United States the band As Tall As Lions – vocalist/guitarist Daniel Nigro, guitarist Saen Fitzgerald, bassist Julio Tavarez and drummer Cliff Sarcona – spent more than half a year channeling their energies into crafting an album that would not only realize the lofty ambitions of these four young men but define them as a band, once and for all.

Daniel Robert "Danny" Elfman (born May 29, 1953) is an American composer, best known as the lead singer and songwriter for the rock band Oingo Boingo, from 1976 to 1995 and later for scoring music for television and film and creating The Simpsons main title theme as well as the 1989 Batman movie theme. He has scored the majority of the films for his long-time friend Tim Burton. Born in Los Angeles, he entered the film industry in 1976, initially as an actor. He made his film scoring debut in 1980 for the film Forbidden Zone directed by his older brother Richard Elfman.
Mojave 3 are a dream pop/folk band which formed in Reading, England in 1993. The band consists of Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar), Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar, bass), Simon Rowe (guitar), Alan Forrester (organ, vocals), and Ian McCutcheon (drums). Goswell, Halstead and McCutcheon were previously members of the shoegaze band Slowdive. The band initially existed as a trio consisting of Halstead, Goswell, and McCutcheon (hence the "3" in their name).

In 2005 he returned to his songwriting roots and self-released The Weightless EP achieving critical acclaim and a record deal. After months and months of work including 6 live shows, Connie Fisher,23, was crowned the winner of controversial reality TV show "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Mariao?" over runners-up Helena Blackman and Siobhan Dillon. She played the role of Maria Von-Trapp in the Sound Of Music along-side "Peak Practice" star Simon Shephard playing Captain Von-Trapp and opera singer Lesley Garrett (as the Mother Abyss) from November 2006 until February 2008. Her original contract lasted six months, but was extended.
