Often tagged as garage-rock revivalists, the Fleshtones mix the fuzz-guitar and Farfisa organ sounds of that genre with rockabilly, '50s and '60s R&B, and surf into a potent retro stew the group likes to call "Super Rock." The group formed in 1976 in Queens with vocalist/keyboardist Peter Zaremba, guitarist Keith Streng, bassist Jan Marek Pukulski, and drummer Bill Milhizer and aimed to return rock and roll to the simplicity and unself-consciousness of the '50s and early-'60s. (The group was often joined on-stage and in the studio by sax player Gordon Spaeth, who passed on in 2005.

With several releases under his belt, he creates psychedelic music similar in style to artists such as Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke, Burial, Harmonic 313, Machine Drum, and others. Owing to both a sample-based and synthesis-based creation method, HipGnosis achieves a balance between organic sounds and processed digitalia, remaining ever smooth in the process.
Broken Spindles is the brainchild of Joel Petersen of Omaha, Nebraska. He is in other Saddle Creek bands, playing bass guitar in The Faint and Beep Beep. The music is mostly instrumental with minimal vocals which Petersen sings. It originally started in 2001 as the soundtrack for a friend's film. It developed into a solo project with the first release in 2002 on Tiger Style Records. In between touring with The Faint and Beep Beep, Petersen found time to write music for Broken Spindles. Dominik Eulberg, born in 1978 in Westerwald, Germany is an electronic music artist and DJ who has released numerous singles as well as full-length albums on labels such as cocoon recordings and Traum Schallplatten. He occasionally works as park ranger in German National parks, an occupation he plans to pursue full time in the near future after retiring from music. Dominik's fascination for electronic music began at a very young age.
