K's Choice

K's Choice is a Belgian rock band from Antwerp. The band centers on siblings Sarah Bettens (lead vocals, guitar) and Gert Bettens (guitar, keyboard, vocals). They are joined by Eric Grossman (bass), Jan van Sichem Jr. (guitar) and Koen Liekens (drums). Their music can be described as guitar-based singer-songwriter rock or folk-rock. It ranges from very delicate and intimate singer-songwriter songs to songs that are stronger, more active and louder.

Madensuyu

Madensuyu started their musical career by ending third in Belgian rock competition Humo's Rock Rally 2004, behind Absynthe Minded and The Van Jets. The word Madensuyu comes from Turkish and means "Mineral Water". The first EP (containing four songs) was released in 2005, dubbed Adjust We.
In april 2006 their debut album, A Field Between, was released, containing the four tracks previously released on Adjust We, adding five new tracks. In 2008 their second full album D is done was released.

1. Raised in 2003 from the ashes of the CashConverters, Malibu Stacy was created with the view to the Belgian competition Concours-Circuit which they eventually won in November 2004. Since then, they keep on touring, sharing stages with bands such as The Cribs, Quasi, Kaiser Chiefs, Maximo Park, Art Brut, ... 2. A 3-piece emo/screamo band from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Influenced by the Congotronics groups and their instruments made out of recuperated materials, the members of Hoquets use a similar attitude: this Belgian/American/French trio mostly play with instruments that they invent and construct out of wooden boards, broken strings, tin cans, etc. Their music is overflowing with energy and like no other, inspired by indie pop, hip hop, punk, funk and the weirdness of their homeland.

The Experimental Tropic Blues Band

This is a band that has set out to continue the legacy of the big names of rock'n'roll - Johnny Cash, the Cramps, Elvis, Bo Diddley, Hasil Adkins - setting to music stories of damned souls. Though not known for being an exciting country, they are indeed from Belgium, and they do indeed manage to whip up an atmosphere of wild debauchery at all their gigs.
