Cosey Fanni Tutti

Cosey Fanni Tutti (born Christine Carole Newby on 4 November 1951, in Hull, England) is best known as a performance artist and for her time in Throbbing Gristle and Chris & Cosey. Before both of these she was a performer with COUM Transmissions in 1969. Her addition changed the nature of the group which, when she joined, was still mostly a musical venture. From that point on, COUM performances became events or, in sixties parlance, happenings, involving props, costumes, dance, improvisation and street theatre.

Illuminate

Darkwave/Gothic Rock band formed in Karlsruhe, Germany in 1993 by Johannes Berthold. Scarcely another band among the German-speaking Alternative /(Dark)Wave-scene has polarized media and audience within the last eighteen years as much as ILLUMINATE. Either praised up to the skies or torn apart as „Schlager“ (a German derogatory term for bad pop songs) – be that as it may, for the last decade, Jo-hannes Berthold and his band have left their mark on the Dark scene...

Skylab

*Skylab is comprised of U.K. DJ Mat Ducasse, producer Howie "B" Bernstein (Howie B), Japanese recording artists Tosh and Kudo (Melon,LOVE T.K.O.,J.O.Y.,Major Force etc.) and vocalist Debbie Sanders. Their first album, #1, is a forgotten classic. Nominally a trip hop or 'chillout' record, it's really far more ambitious. Beats and some low-key turntablism bookend excursions into lowercase soundscapes, vintage synth manipulation, ambient, impro and dub. Howie B's production bathes everything in a warm bass glow. Holds up brilliantly nearly 15 years later. Dig it out.
