There are several artists by the name of PLUM: 1.) PLUM - trio from Stargard Szczecinski (POLAND). The band was set up in 1999. In fall 1999 Plum recorded first songs, ep Express..6, which were put out on cassettes by Every Color Production. The main features of its music are uncompromise sound, energy and compositional sensitivity. You can find in it influences of such bands like Jesus Lizard, Girls vs Boys.
The Arrivals are a four piece from Blue Island, Illinois, Southside of Chicago. They write songs about everything and nothing, sometimes all at once. They sound like Mission of Burma trying to write Kinks songs, though most people have their own f-ed up description that may be just as valid. They've toured with Dillinger Four(with whom they now share a bass player), The Soviettes, Toys That Kill, Rise Against, Tiltwheel, Vena Cava, Grabass Charlestons, and The Lawrence Arms.
Supersubmarina is a Spanish indie pop-rock band from Baeza (Jaen).
Hey everyone - it's Brian. I want to share our story with you. We were in a country home in the middle of Wisconsin's quiet, but ruthless winter. From the first song, our hearts lit up. It took cues from our old recordings, ones that we worked out most of the time over the internet, with an 18 hour drive (Eric, Boston - Me, Milwaukee) separating us at the time. At the same time, this new music was pulling us away from the foundation which we were comfortable with. We knew that a change had to happen. We were ready and willing.
Athletics is an Ambient/Indie Rock band that formed in the fall of 2008 in Oneonta, NY. The band started when Garrett Yaeger and John Cannon left The Cast Before The Break. Garrett started Athletics as a solo project but it quickly became a full band endeavor when he enlisted John Cannon on drums, Howie Cohen on guitar and vocals, Jimmy Boyce on guitar, and Andrew Notaro on bass. John Luby joined the lineup filling in for shows on bass and later became the permanent bassist, replacing Andrew.
Cleft are a 2-piece band from Manchester, UK. They make massive, dirty noises.
A few EQ's exist out there... 1.
EQ is Nicholas Hunt, an underground rap-artist from Reston, Virginia. He released his debut mix-tape, Define Dreamer on Datpiff in April 2011. His second mixtape is called Never There Yet, and was put out in August of the same year. 2.
A Finnish jazz fusion band called EQ (active late 90's) is something hard to categorize. Something about jazz, afro, contemporary music, tango and ambient techno - a creation of Finnish composer and pianist Jukka Linkola. The EQ line-up consists of some heavy weight top pros of Finland:
What do you think of when you hear the name "PowerSolo"? 'Round Denmark way, the moniker apparently conjures the trash-rock psychobilly legacy of Hasil Adkins, the Cramps, and Southern Culture on the Skids. Powersolo may be a power trio, but in this case, the prog-metal acrobatics of rush are replaced with something they call "donkey punk." Two tremolo-loving chicken-scratch, rail-thin guitarists Kim Kix and Atomic Child. And drummer J.C.
Mojave 3 are a dream pop/folk band which formed in Reading, England in 1993. The band consists of Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar), Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar, bass), Simon Rowe (guitar), Alan Forrester (organ, vocals), and Ian McCutcheon (drums). Goswell, Halstead and McCutcheon were previously members of the shoegaze band Slowdive. The band initially existed as a trio consisting of Halstead, Goswell, and McCutcheon (hence the "3" in their name).
