The Frogman Prog Trio

Hella

Hella began in 2001 in Sacramento, California as a two member band consisting of Zach Hill and Spencer Seim writing technically intricate music of a highly spastic nature. They play a blend of math rock and noise rock. On early albums, the band forged their classic sound, playing minimally arranged, abrasive instrumentals that still retain an idiosyncratic sense of melody. In 2005, the band expanded their live band by adding Dan Elkan on vocals, rhythm guitar, and synth and Jonathan Hischke on bass guitar.

BronzeAge

BronzeAge are a Leicester, UK based 4 piece consisting of ex-members of Alt-punk band Public Relations Exercise. After P.R.E's demise the members spent their time licking wounds and getting on with being grown ups. However, the appeal of traveling miles for little money or thanks became too much and in 2009, BronzeAge was formed. The band’s sound is a distinct departure from their previous output; combining epic sound-scapes with angular indie riffs and dual vocal interplay. Early demos have now been recorded by Field Records owner and producer Tim Waterfield.

Theo (UK)

Theo, the work of one Sam Knight, is one for the math rock fans. Taut, chugging guitar loops layer up with frenetic tapping patterns that interweave in spiralling complexity before near sub-atomically precise, powerhouse drumming clatters and builds each song into juggernaut of riffs and rhythms. To achieve something like this recorded is one thing, but to see Theo perform live is quite another as each song blurs into the next and the dazzling guitar and drum acrobatics leave jaws sagging on the faces of all who bear witness to the talent on offer

Lungs

There are at least 2 artists with the name Lungs: 1) Lungs are a Sydney punk rock trio with an attention deficit.
