Dennis Hopper Choppers

Dennis Hopper Choppers is Ben Nicholls, a one-man-band, simultaneously playing guitar, bass drum, high hat, organ bass pedals, vox-organ and a 1969 Fender Dual Showman amplifier originally designed for Dick Dale which he said is ‘probably the loudest thing I’d ever heard.’ This coming from a man who played bass in the Silverjets and Menlo Park. His debut, self-released album, Chop is 13 tracks of high-plains-via-East-London fretboard wrangling and heartfelt rockabilly stomp while his rich and astonishingly versatile baritone gives the album it’s soaring range.

D-66

Kick-ass one-man-blues-terror-band kept for far too long in a damp basement in London's Murder Mile where he developed an angry delta-punk. The skinning of his Resonator-Guitarre to the stomping beat of his stripped down drums, lays the foundation to his screaming and howlin' vocals. You have to see it to fully experience the force of this return of trash blues. Played with The Parkinsons & Blood Safari. Gigs with The Unsane. Tour of Italy with Country Teasers.

Theo (UK)

Theo, the work of one Sam Knight, is one for the math rock fans. Taut, chugging guitar loops layer up with frenetic tapping patterns that interweave in spiralling complexity before near sub-atomically precise, powerhouse drumming clatters and builds each song into juggernaut of riffs and rhythms. To achieve something like this recorded is one thing, but to see Theo perform live is quite another as each song blurs into the next and the dazzling guitar and drum acrobatics leave jaws sagging on the faces of all who bear witness to the talent on offer
