Chad Jackson started behind the decks before it was even trendy to be a DJ, and today can be credited as one of the people that popularised the art of DJ Mixing and remixing around the world. He was one of the first ever globally known superstar DJs. Back in the late 80s, a flyer with his name on it meant queues outside clubs like Legends in Manchester and the infamous Wigan Pier. Chad was one of the first British DJ to start DJ mixing in the early 80s.

Bringing the electronic bass music vibe to the yoga scene, and the sounds of yoga to the electronic dance scene, Desert Dwellers’ global sounds are the bridge between worlds. Joining solid groove with sounds of serenity, their signature aesthetic feels as natural on the dance floor as it does after hours or on the mat.  Due in no small part to Desert Dwellers’ pioneering spirit, the very concept of chill-out and sacred bass music has expanded dramatically.

The greatest bands, the most influential or memorable, are the ones who don't try to fill the role set for them, who don't pursue anything other than the desire to make music, and the need to express that art to an audience. From the start, The Break has had this aesthetic in mind.
