"Like listening to Stephen Fry tinkling the ivories and doing his best Noel Coward impression. Whether he’s singing about cardigans, or simply promoting his Myspace page there’s a wonderful playful humour to his lyrics and stage presence..." - Live gig review from "Nightshift" - music mag in Oxford (2009)

Jon Auer

Jon Auer is most well known for being one half of The Posies creative team, along with Ken Stringfellow. Auer's solo recordings demonstrate his considerable influence to the success of The Posies. In particular, SONGS FROM THE YEAR OF OUR DEMISE achieves new levels of melody and lyrical brilliance. The song "Bottom of the Bottle" will resonate with anyone who has dated someone who drinks a "little too much," and "Six Feet Under" may be one of the most depressing (yet cathartic) break-up songs ever written.

Soundgarden

Soundgarden is a Seattle rock band who helped to define the sound that came to be called . Despite starting years earlier, and having a sound that more closely resembled Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin than their contemporaries, they are usually considered one of the "big four" of the '90s Seattle grunge bands, along with Alice in Chains, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. The band was formed in 1984 by Chris Cornell (vocals, and originally drums) and Hiro Yamamoto (bass), to be joined later by Kim Thayil (guitar) and Scott Sundquist (drums).

A few of these (The Dark Ages, The Erskine Bridge, Drowning Nightmare 1) evolved into songs for Swimmer One's first two albums, but until recently most of them stayed in his head.

Weloveyouwinona

Complicated relations with the new members of the band and regular thoughts about the gathering new music material were the main reasons of creating a new project by Ivan Malezhik (ex-leader of Light and Day) – Weloveyouwinona. Remained in the influence of such artists as Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and Bob Dylan, and also dealing with his personal author’s sense, Ivan Malezhik continues to write solo material in English, paying special attention to the lyrical aspect of the songs, which - in distinction from a lot of contemporary bands - is full of heartfelt motifs and...

fran rodgers

Born in 1982 to an English father and a French mother, Fran Rodgers was raised with her twin sister in an old mining town in Nottinghamshire. Hours spent listening to her parents records inspired a love of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and, later, the likes of Nick Drake, Nick Cave and Jeff Buckley. Following a move to Leeds in 2000 Fran discovered a passion for singing and, self-taught on the guitar, she began to write. Like many of her influences she performs alone, transporting the listener into the fragile world she paints of love, loss and hope.
