BIO Created by brothers and activists Nicolas and Fabrice Laureau, NLF3 formed in 2000 in Paris*. This three piece at the forefront of Paris innovative scene cultivates an instrumental rock form. Their music is cyclical, textured, halfway between movie scores and psychedelic transgression. The band cites influences such as Alice Coltrane, Fela Kuti, This Heat, Can and the early Sonic Youth while mixing a lot of electronics together with a wide variety of instruments : amplified kalimba, electric guitars and bass, drums, percussions, vocals.

Galaxie 500

There are two bands with the name Galaxie 500:
1) an American alternative rock band that formed in 1987 and split in 1991
2) a francophone indie garage rock formed in 2002 in Montreal, Canada, and now known as Galaxie 1) Galaxie 500 formed in Boston, MA in 1986 and comprised vocalist/guitarist Dean Wareham (a transplanted New Zealand native), bassist Naomi Yang and drummer Damon Krukowski, longtime friends who first met in high school in New York City before all three attended Harvard University.

Bleeding Heart Narrative

Bleeding Heart Narrative is from the UK and consists of (recording wise) Oliver Barrett - who also does the illustrations for the releases. The music is epic and ephemeral, a kind of journey in sound played on many different instruments including cello, piano and vocals. His recordings include the idiosyncratic mistakes made during recording which gives the music a very tactile and honest sound. Other musicians join Oliver Barrett on stage for live performances.

The Dismemberment Plan

The Dismemberment Plan is an / band formed in Washington, D.C., United States on January 1, 1993. Also known as "The D-Plan" or "The Plan," the band's name comes from a stray phrase uttered by the insurance salesman in the popular comedy Groundhog Day. Absent Without Leave is the solo project of George Mastrokostas, based in Athens, Greece.

The Montgolfier Brothers

The Montgolfier Brothers are Mark Tranmer and Roger Quigley; Tranmer writes and performs much of the duo's music, while Quigley writes the lyrics and provides their vocals. Both artists have released numerous solo projects on their own, and collaborated with other artists, in addition to recording together as the Montgolfier Brothers. Tranmer -- who is based in Manchester, England -- has recorded under name Gnac (taken from a short story by Italian writer Italo Calvino) in 1996, recording singles for the Earworm and Liquefaction labels.

Faker

Faker is an Australian alternative rock band, formed in Sydney in 1996. The band consists of vocalist Nathan Hudson, drummer Evan Mannell, guitarist Nic Munnings, and bassist Ash Moss. Their touring keyboardist is Dizzi de Cazz. The band has released two studio albums, and despite forming in 1996, Faker's first studio album Addicted Romantic, was only released in 2005. Prior to that, the band played multiple local gigs, and also released two EPs. In 2007, Faker became a mainstream success with their second album, Be the Twilight, and went on to continue touring nationally.
