Chris Connor

Chris Connor (November 8, 1927 - August 29, 2009) was an American jazz singer known for her distinctive style and expression. Born in Kansas City, her father was an eminent musician and Chris soon studied and became proficient in the clarinet.
Chris joined the "Snowflakes", a vocal group of Claude Thornhill's band, and moved on to become Stan Kenton's lead singer. She recorded for Bethlehem records originally and then began a long association with Atlantic records.

Evelyn Glennie

Evelyn Glennie, born in 1965 in Aberdeen, Scotland, is a virtuoso percussionist. She is the first person in musical history to successfully create and sustain a full-time career as a percussion solo performer. As one of the most eclectic and innovative musicians on the scene today she is constantly redefining the goals and expectations of percussion, and creating performances of such vitality that they almost constitute a new type of performance.

There are at least seven bands with this name, although it's likely that more exist. The first is a metal band, formed in 2000 by the vocalist Bernd Eitel in the German town of Moenchengladbach. After undergoing a few lineup changes over the years the band is now: Bernd, Martyn, Heiner, Karsten and David. NO have gigged extensively in Germany and also played shows in Switzerland and Holland. In March 2006 NO released their demo CD "...is still the best answer to almost every question" and played a release show in their hometown.

Erika

There are at least four artists named Erika. 1) Erika De Bonis is an Italian dance singer better known for her popular song I Don't Know. Erika's first releases were under the label of Rossano Prini A&R SPY records. The young Italian artist became famous when she released the song Relations. This track jumped to No. 1 on all Italian charts in the first half of 2001. Erika released some other tracks that became very popular in dance clubs: Right or Wrong and Ditto. "Mama" Cass Elliot, Baroness von Wiedenman (19 September 1941 – 29 July 1974), born Ellen Naomi Cohen, was a noted American singer who performed with The Mamas & the Papas. She then went onto a successful solo career, releasing nine albums. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she spent most of her childhood both in Baltimore and Alexandria, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C. Elliot was widely considered the most charismatic member of the Mamas & the Papas due to her sense of humor and optimism, in part because of her large size and weight.

Jana Hunter

Jana Hunter is a songwriter and musician, and was born in Texas. She is now(2010) based in Baltimore. She has recently(2009) formed a new band named Lower Dens and toured the USA with Future Islands(2010). She is signed to Gnomonsong, a record label run by Devendra Banhart and Vetiver's Andy Cabic. Her solo debut album Blank Unstaring Heirs of Doom was the label's debut release. She later completed her second album "There's No Home" as well as "Carrion EP".
