Newtown Neurotics

The Newtown Neurotics, an underated British punk band with a socialist lyrical bent whose classic first album "Beggars Can be Choosers" in 1983 was stylistically indebted to the Ramones, but with outraged lyrics more akin to political punkers The Clash. The band formed in suburban Newtown Harlow Essex outside London, but eventually dropped the "Newtown" from its name and broadened their approach, including slower tempos and horn arrangements.

Vicious Rumours

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Vicious Rumours is a UK oi/street punk band formed early 1979, in south London. Currently planning a re union, and very much active again Not too be confused with the US metal band (rumors) Various line up changes through the early years due to the changing face of British Punk music led to the Band adopting a style more in line with the OI! sounds that were coming from London's east end, ( Just over the river and turn left!)
The Band name was arrived upon after watching an episode of Kojak!

Skimmer

Formed out of the 80s U.K. punk outfit the Sect, Skimmer take more of a playful approach with their simple, four chord, Ramones influenced punk-pop. On top of abrasive dual guitars and occasional harmonies, Skimmer released a series of EPs on Crackle Records -- this discography includes Better Than Being Alone (1994), Happy (1995), All I Know Is Wrong (1996), and Uncool (1996) -- before they put out their first full-length, Vexed, two years later. During that same year, Compitoenail came out for the purpose of compiling all their out of print material, singles, and compilation tracks.
