Fang Island is a self-proclaimed "Healing & Easy Listening / Visual" band from "Philayorkadence" in the United States of America. Made up of a guitarist from the band Daughters (Nicholas Andrew Sadler) and four others from the aforementioned town (Jason Bartell, Chris Georges, Marc St Sauvuer, and Michael Jacober), Fang Island makes music that they describe as "everyone high-fiving everyone."

Original line-up consisted of Matt Fitzgerald ( keyboards, guitar) Geoff Towner (bass, El Mopa), Pete Kelly (guitar, Sea Life Park), Kenny Davis Jr (keyboards, piano, The Jackson Code, The Blackeyed Susans) & Thomas Schutzinger (drums). Original line-up recorded the EP "Spooky Action at a Distance" (2002) and album "Decoder Ring" (2002). Geoff Towner departed in 2003 and was replaced by Ben Ely (Regurgitator).

Bristol-based multi-instrumentalist Chris Cole is a collaborator with Matt Elliott/Third Eye Foundation and a drummer for various bands. His music layers delicate melodies on acoustic instruments on top of each other, with subtle electronic effects. In his live act, he uses a loop pedal to build up his multi-layered pieces part by part, as he moves from instrument to instrument, including cello, piano, drum kit, accordion and acoustic guitar amongst others.
