Dead Formats

Dead Formats is Tim Harris. Currently based in London, dividing his time between studying sound, recording sound and experimenting with compositional techniques and processes. The idea behind the Dead Formats mantle is to experiment with formats, tools, sounds and noise often discarded by our fast moving society, to create pieces that, whilst retaining a musical and melodic value, are often made up from the imperfections and constraints of older, 'inferior', recording formats.

This Providence

This Providence (previously known as Sunday Best), is a four piece band from Seattle, Washington US. The members of This Providence came together in the summer of 2001 and soon after recorded a 4 song demo CD, under the short lived name of "T minus 1." In 2003 they recorded the better known The Sunday Best EP, co-produced, and self-released (now out of print). While still in high school, they gathered a strong local following as well as some label attention. After graduating, the band released their debut full-length record, Our Worlds Divorce, produced by Casey Bates.

Finsterforst

In late 2004, Tobias Weinreich (Bass), Sebastian Scherrer (Keyboards), Marco Schomas (Vocals) and Simon Schillinger (Guitar) founded Finsterforst. They were still seeking more members however, so instead concentrated purely on songwriting. As a result, they created many songs without being able to perform them until later on. In spring 2005 the band decided to introduce an accordion player (Johannes Joseph) into the mix, a choice which has helped to shape their unique sound.
