Max Cooper

In an interview on the influential modifyer blog, Max Cooper described how his emotive, melodic techno is an attempt to render different levels of emotion into sound. It's this approach that created his breakthrough track, harmonish serie on Traum Schallplatten - a buzzing, ruminative piece that was a "heavy rotation" track for Raveline, a top 5 hit in Germany's vinyl charts, and which has already passed 60,000 views on YouTube.

The Black Sea

The Black Sea was formed from the ashes of Frodus in 2002 when Frodus's Shelby Cinca and Jason Hamacher decided to continue playing together. At the time they recruited Fugazi bassist Joe Lally to play bass. At the time they weren't sure on if the musical endeavor would go beyond just playing music. In February 2002, Hamacher left for a 3 month excursion to Eastern Europe and Turkey after recording drum tracks for the pair.

metaltech

Rock/Metal/Techno crossover.
Designed by the subconscious of all who hate the X-Factor and other similar programmes, METALTECH has formed from the ether fueled by for hundred billion psychic requests. The result is an orgy of greaspaint, leather, techno and metal. You may not realise it, but, if you hate the X-Factor then you indirectly created THE METALTECH.
Admitedly a certain Erik Tricity (vocals, guitar, programming) seems to try to take the credit for it, although we believe that it was The Insidious Dr.
