Bamboo Forest is Stephane Dureisseix, a Psychedelic Trance producer from Paris, France. He started Bamboo Forest in 1995, and in 1998 was joined by Yann Henaff. Yann later left in 2004 to spend more time with his family. The name comes from the famous Bamboo Forest in Vagator, Goa. Bamboo Forest is psy trance as it is supposed to be, pumping, happy and psychedelic.
1. Talamasca (Cedric Dassulle, also known as DJ Lestat) is a psychedelic trance project based in Paris, France. Dassulle played piano for over 13 years before starting his career as DJ in 1992. Talamasca in Latin means "animal mask". Dassulle got the name from the secret society of psychic detectives in author Anne Rice's famous Vampire Chronicles. The same goes for his DJ moniker, Lestat, which was the name of the main character in the series. Lestat aso drew inspiration from the books when he created his record label, which he named Mind Control Records.
Mancub is Ben and Joe (Bird Noises) doing acoustic folk punk. Recorded and released in 2007 on Valiant Death Records. Unfortunately on May 31st, 2007 Ben, Cayce, and Joe had their lives taken in a car accident while on tour.
The other Mancub is a two piece outfit from Denver Colorado who can be best described as infectiously catchy eclectro-noise pop. I´m Arjuna, one of the Parvati Records dj label. I grew up between Italy and India, and I made all my first dj experiences in Goa. I´v been playing mainly there, but then also in many other countries like Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Spain, Makedonia, Nepal, Japan.
