Chevelle is an alternative metal band from Grayslake, IL. They formed in 1994 with the members of Sam Loeffler, Pete Loeffler (brothers) and Matt Scott. Matt was later replaced in 1996 by Joe Loeffler as bass player. On July 10, 2005 Joe was fired because of "irreconcilable differences". Geno Lenardo (Filter) filled in until August 2005, when Dean Bernardini (brother-in-law to the Loefflers) became the new bass player of Chevelle.

Mystery surrounds Torment and the band achieved cult status, aided by the fact that the singer/frontman/songwriter Simon Brand committed suicide in 1994.

"Up and down the UK London's edgiest arbiters of leftfield noisecore have been grilling audiences into submission for much of 2002.

Early Man is an old school style metal band, formed in 2003. The band is comprised of Mike Conte on guitar/vocals, Adam Bennati on drums and Pete Macy on guitar. They are originally from Columbus, Ohio. Early Man signed to Matador Records in 2003, releasing one EP "Early Man" and one full length "Closing In". Early Man signed to The End Records in 2008 and have since released the EP "Beware the Circling Fin".

In 1982, the band changed their name to Tyrant and began playing a harder-edged style of blues-influenced rock in the style of AC/DC and Rose Tattoo and Motörhead. In 1984, Tyrant released a four-track EP called Never Too Loud, which topped the metal charts on the local radio stations and gained them a massive following in Tasmania.
