Shawn Colvin (born January 10, 1956 in Vermillion, South Dakota) is an American musician. Best known for her hit single "Sunny Came Home" from the album "A Few Small Repairs". Colvin's formative years were spent in the town of Carbondale, Illinois, where she attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She learned to play guitar at the age of 10. Her first public concert was at age 15 at the University of Illinois campus. Colvin cites Joni Mitchell as a primary influence on her music, and her initial performances closely mirrored Mitchell's inflections and guitar tunings.

Kings of Convenience are a music duo formed in Bergen, Norway, playing a style that features acoustic instrumental playing and their two calm voices. The band consists of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe. They met as children at a geography competition. They are known for their delicate tunes, calming voices, and intricately subtle guitar melodies.

Shortly after forming in 2012 band kicked off with recording their first two singles called Killing the Love and Sugar, Blood & Wine. First two records were more like experiment for band to find its own sound that became more individual in their next two singles – Winterland and Smile Like You Care.
