Empathy

There are three bands and one electronic producer with the same name: 1. Empathy was an emo band from Royal Oak, Michigan that was an important part of the midwest emo movement, in the mid 90s. They formed in the summer of 1993, initially as a trio with Kevin on guitar, Nathan Miller on bass and Graham Pawluk on drums. In August of 1993 Jay Palumbo joined on vocals and in October Mike came on second guitar.

boysetsfire

Post-Hardcore band from Newark, Delaware, United States The hardcore, then later post-hardcore, band boysetsfire was founded 1994 in Delaware/USA. One of the main reasons was 'To shake things and change', which basically meant to mosh like lunatics through the rehearsal room. But soon the wish for a change manifests in more and more politically inspired lyrics. Only about a month after their first rehearsal, they played their first gig for friends. This opened the doors for some local club gigs in Newark, and the first demo was recorded shortly after.

Comecloser

This won’t be a boring story about a band that formed in 2001. But hey, who cares about year dates in a band sheet? No one, at least not me. I’d rather show you, who COMECLOSER really are and what this band stands for.
Forget about your hearing habbit for the same music as ever, take a minute and think about the lyrics or even more important – about COMECLOSER. About a band that never avoids to shed blood, sweat and tears, that destroys stages and plays their asses off wherever they can. Of course, you heard all of that for a thousand times and nearly every band-sheet sounds like that, well .

Braid

Braid is an American band from Urbana, Illinois that formed in 1993. After forming, the band went through several line-up changes but eventually settled on Bob Nanna on vocals and guitar, Todd Bell on bass, Chris Broach on guitar and vocals and Roy Ewing on drums. Roy was replaced in 1997 by Damon Atkinson. In 1999 Braid disbanded and went on to form Hey Mercedes with all band members minus Chris Broach (who went on to form The Firebird Band) and adding Mark Dawursk. The band reformed for a US tour in 2004 and, now that Hey Mercedes are defunct, apparently intend to tour sporadically.

Conceived and inspired by the unrelenting spirit of grind, AMDBL fuses dark melody and brooding insight to deliver an onslaught of uncompromising atmospheric composition; creating a unique blend of extreme themes and influences. Though we ourselves have no recollection of the event; people tell us we appeared somewhere between the beginning of the end of the world and 2008.
