There are at least 2 bands/artists with the name Vamps. 1) VAMPS is a Japanese rock unit by Hyde (lead vocalist of L'Arc~en~Ciel) and K.A.Z (guitarist of Oblivion Dust, hide with Spread Beaver and Spin Aqua). HYDE and K.A.Z have been working together since HYDE's third solo album FAITH, which was released in 2006. In early spring 2008, they announced the name-change for HYDE's solo project - and officially formed a band. One of the reasons being to give more credit to K.A.Z for his work. Thus VAMPS was born.
Previously known as Silverspoon, having issued the 'Sink Or Swim' demo under their former name, PAGAN'S MIND came into being during mid 2000. Frontman Nils K. Rue had previously sang for Sunset Strip. Guitarist Thorstein Eugen Aaby had previously been employed by acts such as Deadline and Sunset Strip whilst drummer Stian Lindaas Kristoffersen has experience with Woodstone, King's Quest and Sunset Strip.
Her Bright Skies have developed a distinctly modern sound, with piercing melodies, emotive vocals and an ever-rising tidal wave of fans - all on their own terms. “Causing A Scene” displays a band which has purified its sacred mission to carry your ass into a world where music is first and foremost a party – not psychoanalysis. With both feet firmly entrenched in the American tradition of melodic punk, pop and metal, Her Bright Skies have developed a way to lift themselves out of small town boredom all the while creating their own niche: energetic rock conveyed with a touch of that indefinable...
Ann Sexton was born 5th February 1950 in Greenville, South Carolina, U.S.A. Songwriter David Lee spotted Ann in 1971, although not a well known artist, Ann recorded a series of great soul records for the legendary Nashville soul DJ and label-owner John R (John Richbourg). Her best known songs, "You've Been Gone Too Long" and "You're Losing Me", were, and still are, great favourites on the Northern Soul scene.
There are two bands named Pharaoh.
1. An American Power Metal band.
2. A German Emocore band.
3. A doom metal/sludge band from New Jersey.
1. Though its earliest echoes ring back to 1997, American heavy metal act PHARAOH released its debut album via the Cruz del Sur Music label in 2003. Paradoxically entitled After the Fire, the album
The Bastards of Fate formed in 2006, and toured for almost 5 years before finishing their first LP, called "Who's a Fuzzy Buddy?" which was released in March 2012 on This Will Be Our Summer records. The album has received mostly positive, though sometimes baffled coverage from outlets such as Vice, Consequence of Sound, Drowned In Sound and Clash, as well as hype from Everett True's Collapse Board, which has featured the band on numerous occasions.
IVANHOE is a band from Germany; their first release is dated 1992 ("Visions and Reality"); their style could be called metal-progressive, their works are full of feel and techniques, due to the ability of the members, which are all great and complete musicians. The elements of prog-style are united with a metal-style; powerful metal riffs, great arpeggios, uses of keyboards, great instrumental parts...
The Powermetal Band Ravenheart was established by Roger (vocals and drums) in 1997.
Suitable band members were found quickly with Greg (guitar), Marco (guitar), Luca (bass) and Bea (key). After several concerts and the fist demo CD ‘Timeless Knights’ Ravenheart worked on producing
a full-length album. During the time of recording Luca was tragically taken away from us in 2006 and the whole production was put on hold.
