‘Sons of Alpha Centauri’ are a dark instrumental riff rock band from Swale, UK. Since conception the band has linked their music to all visual, photographic and historical elements. In 2008, the band collaborated with legendary desert instrumentalists ‘Yawning Man’ to form ‘Yawning Sons’. This psychedelic, ambient drone rock trans-Atlantic alliance included guest vocals from members of the Desert Sessions, Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age.

British synth player, born December 10, 1958. Enjoyed success on the underground dance scene in the early 80's before breaking into the mainstream with "19", an international smash which spent five weeks at number one in the UK. In the latter half of the 1980s he specialised in tv soundtrack work. He made the theme tunes for Top of The Pops and Saturday Live, popular British entertainment shows. Paul now records mainly under the pseudonym Jazzmasters. Early tracks of note include the popular 'Rain Forest' and 'King Tut', both were big dance hits in the U.S.

Iain Ballamy (born February 20, 1964 in Guildford) is a British soprano, alto and tenor saxophone player. Renowned in Europe as the "Fantastic Englishman", Ballamy established himself playing alongside notables including Hermeto Pascoal, the late Gil Evans, George Coleman, Dewey Redman, Mike Gibbs and the New York Composers Orchestra. Touring extensively world-wide he has appeared at most international festivals and venues. Ballamy can be heard on over 40 CDs.

ANCIENT HISTORY: Three years have passed since “Black Oni” (Ipecac Records). Four years since “Five Suns”(Cuneiform Records). The new album by Guapo is finally here and thus concludes the recondite triptych they set out to accomplish. Flux is not uncommon here, every record taking on new musical hues and offering disparate ideas and perspectives. However an upheaval in the line-up, which of recent years has been anchored by the trio of Daniel O’Sullivan, Matthew Thompson and David Smith, triggered a change in course when Thompson left the band just prior to the release of Black Oni in 2005.
