The Explorers

1) The arty progressive rock of Roxy Music slid into a decidedly poppier direction when former members Phil Manzanera (guitars, keyboards) and Andy MacKay (sax, oboe, keyboards) collaborated as the Explorers. After Roxy Music's demise in 1983, MacKay moved to Ireland, developing a fondness for traditional Irish music. Wanting a respite from the studio, MacKay formed the Explorers with Manzanera and vocalist James Wraith.

At first, there was nothing but these memories of a cold and grey urbanism. It is meanwhile walking down the streets of Kemper, France, that netra was first thought of, back in 2003. Nothing else could convey these horrible feelings, this underlying depression and boredom of city life. Seven years and two demos later, netra raises the interest of Nick Skog, owner of the canadian label Hypnotic Dirge Records...

Sequoia

Sequoia is (1) a band from Chicago. They released their debut album, "Monday Morning" in 2005. Their sophmore album, "Time to Change", was released in May of 2008. In 2009 they added Cully Johnston from Grinner/Powers on guitar and in 2011 released their third full-length, "Couple Two Tree." It was engineered/produced by Allen Epley (Shiner, The Life and Times) and Eric Abert (The Life and Times, Ring Cicada) and recorded at Matt Talbott's (HUM) studio, Earth Analog.

Laurent de Wilde

Laurent De Wilde, the Mid-Atlantic piano player of the year, is a graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure. This school and a few others like it are called Les Grandes Ecoles and they are comparable to the Ivy League. They produce the elite in this country. And so it seemed appropriate to ask De Wilde: "What's a nice guy like you doing in a métier like this?" He replied with a very American have-a-nice-day croon: "It seemed like a good idea at the time."

Galleon

There are three known bands using the name Galleon: 1. a progressive rock band hailing from Sweden and
2. a French dance group.
3. a four-piece indie rock group based in Adelaide, Australia. 1. Galleon started as a three piece named Aragon back in ´85 , experimenting with different kind of music and musicians , but never really found the "right" feeling. . . Because Micke Värn, guitars - Göran Fors, bass and Vocals and Dan Fors, drums had the idea , they wanted at least to document their sweat and blood in composing the music they believed in under so many years , just in case . . .

Barbara

1) Barbara was a popular French female singer born as Monique Andrée Serf (9th June 1930 - 25th November 1997) best known under her stage name. "Barbara" had been the title of a famous song in the fifties, whose text comes from Prévert. Monique Serf, born in Paris, France, into a Jewish family, was ten years old when she had to go into hiding during the German occupation of France in World War II.
