Abel Ganz

ABEL GANZ http://www.abelganz.com was formed in 1980 by keyboard player Hew Montgomery and multi-instrumentalist Hugh Carter. Although both had played in various bands together over the years, it was a shared interest in progressive rock and a need for a songwriting platform that brought about the birth of Abel Ganz. The line up was completed with the addition of guitarist Malky McNiven and drummer Ken Weir. Rehearsing in the back of Hugh's music shop the band went on to record the "Cottage Label" tape which received favourable reviews in several "prog" fanzines.

Disperse

1. A polish progressive rock/metal band. In December 2007 Marcin Kicyk, Jakub Żytecki and Rafal Biernacki met to form a band called DISPERSE. Fascination with artrock, fusion, metal and jazz contributed to setting the project music of which would abstract from common musical patterns and advance listeners’ imagination. During the first half a year of its existence, the band makes four songs and in March Szymon Balicki, drums, joins the band.

Flamborough Head

Flamborough Head has existed since the beginning of the nineties. Keyboard player Edo Spanninga felt it was time to start a band which would make progressive rockmusic, a musical flow which was nearest to Edo’s heart but in which he had never been active before. Frans Wolf (keyboards & drumcomputing) and Wiebe Wolf (guitars), both former members of Saga oriented progband Made in Holland, were interested in writing and recording. Along with Siebe Rein Schaaf (vocals) they went on as a quartet.

There are two groups with the name Esquire and one DJ: 1) eSQUIRE (Lee Squires) is one of the hottest & most exciting young producers in the UK. Rapidly spreading his name to clubbers and industry heads alike, his sound of uplifting funky fuelled house is becoming the sound of dancefloors across the globe. Twelfth Night

TWELFTH NIGHT emerged from the Andy Revell Band formed at Reading University, where in 1978 they won a talent competition. Geoff MANN was an artist friend of the band from the moment in 1977 that he knocked on Andy's door to find out what record Andy was listening to and discovered that it was just Andy playing guitar! The embryonic band consisted of Andy and Brian Devoil (drums), with Mr Rick Battersby managing the dry ice.

Sean Filkins

Sean Filkins was born in Rochester, Kent, UK. Being closely assocaited with UK, neo-prog band Lorien as well as UK space rock ensemble, Soma, Filkins is not new to the progressive scene. This is his first release War & Peace & Other Stories under his own name. The music carries all the regular trademark progressive influences associated with his music.His album was released in April 2011 under F2 Records.

Spock's Beard

Spock's Beard is a band formed in 1992 in Los Angeles by brothers Neal and Alan Morse. Neal (keyboards/vocals) and Alan (guitars) were joined by fellow musicians Nick D'Virgilio (Nick D'Virgilio, drums - also known as NDV) and Dave Meros (bass), and were later joined by veteran keyboardist Ryo Okumoto. Spock's Beard play a brand of progressive rock with pop music leanings, drawing much influence from Genesis and The Beatles. They are also well known for their intricate multi-part vocal harmonies and use of counterpoint much in the vein of Gentle Giant.

Magenta is a name that has been used many times. (1) is a Welsh progressive rock band formed in 2001, by ex-Cyan member Rob Reed. (2) was an English folk rock band of the late 70s. (3) was a band from Belgium. (4) was a character in The Rocky Horror Show. (5) is a Norwegian band formed in 1995 by Anders Odden and Vilde Lockert.(6) Is an Italian rock band formed in 2005. (7) is an band from Greece.

Galleon

There are three known bands using the name Galleon: 1. a progressive rock band hailing from Sweden and
2. a French dance group.
3. a four-piece indie rock group based in Adelaide, Australia. 1. Galleon started as a three piece named Aragon back in ´85 , experimenting with different kind of music and musicians , but never really found the "right" feeling. . . Because Micke Värn, guitars - Göran Fors, bass and Vocals and Dan Fors, drums had the idea , they wanted at least to document their sweat and blood in composing the music they believed in under so many years , just in case . . .

The Flower Kings

Swedish band. Formed in 1993 by veteran guitarist Roine Stolt as a touring band to support his solo album The Flower King, the band stayed together after the tour and has gone on to become one of the most prolific studio recording units in rock music of their era.
