Bowel Stew is an Italian GOREGRIND band which formed in 1996. They were formerly known as Monolith and are on Rottenpyosis Records. A particularly notable trait of the band is the sound of the vocals; they're pitchshifted to sound almost like an intestinal tract digesting food.
There are mutliple artists with this name: 1) Disgorge is a brutal death metal band from USA. In 1992 Bryan Ugartechea, Tony Freithoffer and Ricky Myers started what was to become one of California's most brutal deathgrind bands. In 1992 they released their first demo "Cognitive lust of Mutilation". Shortly after, Disgorge relocated to San Diego California to establish their name in the underground scene. During the move the band parted ways with bassist/vocalist Bryan Ugartechea. Immediately, new members Matti Way (vocals) and Eric Flesy (bass) filled Brian's position.
Repulsion are a legendary band hailed as being one of the biggest influences on the grindcore genre, despite only releasing one official full length album entitled "Horrified" in 1989 (recorded in 1986). The band formed in 1984 under the name Genocide, releasing three demos with this name. Later, they changed the name to the more "fitting name" for their style of music and lyrical content, which is Repulsion.
There are two bands named Spasm. One is an industrial band on Invisible Records consisting of Mark Spybey of Dead Voices on Air, Eric Pounder of Lab Report, Martin Atkins of Pigface and Curse Mackey of Evil Mothers. The Day Everything Became Nothing is a Goregrind band from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in Melbourne in 2002, The Day Everything Became Nothing continues to deliver extreme percussive grind that is characterised by its dirty, muddy sound. The band's name is derived from the EP of the same name by Canadian punk rock band Nomeansno. The remarkably guttural vocals, by aid of a pitch-shifting Whammy pedal, are done by Tony Forde, of Blood Duster notoriety, but the band originally featured Kody Abrams.
Formed in 2003 in Newcastle, Australia, Grannyfist started as a 2 piece blast/grind/noise band, featuring Granny (Luke Hoskins) on guitar/vocals/samples and Saint Fistopher (Paul McIntyre) on drums and backing vocals, with the occasional noise and vocal contributions from Cut Off Bloody Hand (Matthew Close).
Other people did guest appearences on recordings, but the core line up was with Granny and Saint Fistopher.
Ahumado Granujo is a band formed in 1999 in Prague, Czech Republic, combining techno (typically used as song intros) and goregrind in the vein of old Regurgitate, Gut, Cum, Dahmer with a heavy sound of down-tuned guitars, dance rhythms, and sophisticated guttural vocal lines. They also incorporate some mental electronica styles to add a unique twist to their brutality.
Translated from Spanish the band name means "your meat". Tu Carne is formed in 1996 in Alicante (Spain). The line-up is: Kojo (throat vocals), Oso (guitar), Rober (drums and voices), Oso (guitar) and Flipi (bass and vocals). Until now the band has two full-length albums, one demo and 7 split-albums. Anal Discharge is a grindcore influenced pop punk band formed on the Central Coast, NSW Australia in 2005. The lineup consisted of Matthew Vaughn, Nathan Martin, Jeffrey Brown, and Grant Hunter. The band released one EP, as well as a split double floppy-disk with Sydney's Kill A Celebrity. A number of live bootleg recordings are available online. Anal Discharge played their final show on April 23 2008.
Fuck... I’m Dead is an Australian goregrind / grindcore band formed in May of 2000, with Tom Raetz on bass, Dave Hill on Guitar and drum programming, and Jay Jones on vocals. In July 2000 Fuck... I’m Dead recorded and released a self titled demo tape, and managed to capture the interest of Germany’s Sanity's Dawn which led to the release of the Fuck... I’m Dead/Sanitys Dawn split 7" in early 2001 on No Escape Records.
