Born Gold

Born Gold is the high-energy, beat-driven songwriting project of Canadian pop experimentalist Cecil Frena. Caught in an unusual dialogue between future-leaning electronic music, harsh noise and mainstream pop, Born Gold conjures stuttering, blown-out and chopped guitar peals, erratic, bubbling synth arpeggios, sparkling drum machine peals and bursts of meticulously processed digital noise. Oh, and hooks, hooks, hooks.

Wildlife

There are several bands, albums, & songs containing the name "Wildlife". Wildlife are five friends from around Ontario who got together to make some music in 2006 and have kinda been doing that ever since. Their goal is to make really fun songs with lots of pop pop pop. But they're more than that. They stand apart from so many of Toronto's bands because their music is loud yet so heart-felt, distinct for its punk-tinged ferocity and truly unique melodies.

Grouplove

Hannah Hooper met Christian Zucconi late one evening on the lower east side of Manhattan. They had both been living in New York for years and had never crossed paths before. But from that night forward the two could hardly be pulled apart. Soon after their connection Hooper was invited to an art residency in Greece on the island of Crete and Hooper insists "without any hesitation" she invited Zucconi to join her on this journey.

Artist Type:

Clara Clara

Clara Clara saw the light of day in a basement in the small town of Dijon, France, gathered around a saucepan drumkit, a “” Höner guitar and a My First Sony Microphone. Yet it immediately became the very core of the local scene (we’re talking at least 8 people here, all of them shell- shocked by a short stay in town of band The Ex). Basically of Charles and François Virot (the latter being famous enough under his own name) and Amélie Lambert (a school book of whom cued the band with its name)...
