Avey Tare (born David Portner on April 24th, 1979) is a musician and founding member of Animal Collective. Avey Tare met Animal Collective's Deakin (Josh Dibb), Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), and Geologist (Brian Weitz) in high school. For years, the four of them swapped homemade recordings, shared musical ideas and performed in different group configurations. Avey Tare recorded the Spirit They’re Gone, Spirit They’ve Vanished album with Panda Bear, and initially released the recording on the band's own Animal label in 2000.

Clare and the Reasons call Brooklyn home, but after touring around the world extensively for their first two albums with Van Dyke Parks, My Brightest Diamond, and on their own, they needed a new setting – one that would make them see and hear differently. For 8 months in 2011 they lived in an apartment on Berlin’s Bergstrasse, on the western edges of what used to be the East. They got a 1968 Schwalbe moped – model KR-51 – and sped around the city at a velocity the congested New York streets would have prohibited.

Pixie Carnation is at the moment a seven piece band based in Malmö, Sweden, founded in late 2007 by childhood friends Tobias Hellkvist and Ola Pålsson. With a common vision they started writing and recording mainly in Tobias apartment studio. After about a year of composing, a band slowly started to take the shape of what now is Pixie Carnation. Tim Ayre and Jean Capotorto are Tim & Jean, an up-and-coming electropop indie duo from Perth, Western Australia. The band began by recording demo tapes in Capotorto's bedroom studio in Mandurah. After posting their music on MySpace the band entered Triple J's Unearthed High School competition for unsigned bands, which they made the finals with their track "Come Around". Tim & Jean have performed at many major festivals including Parklife, Good Vibrations, Southbound, Big Day Out, Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.
