Lotus Plaza is the solo project of Deerhunter's Lockett pundt. His debut LP, entitled The Floodlight Collective, was released on March 23, 2009 by Kranky. Pundt has cited his greatest musical influences as being Stereolab, My Bloody Valentine, and Roxy Music, "on a subliminal level." A second album, Spooky Action at a Distance, was released on April 2, 2012.
There are at least thirteen artists who go by the name Alex: Alex Chu (알렉스)(1) Korean male singer in the group Clazziquai. Recently, he has been in many OST soundtracks, using his English name, Alex. Born and raised in Canada, he speaks Korean and English fluently and often sings in a mixture of Korean and English in his songs. Alex released his first solo album, "My Vintage Romance" in 2008.

Gold Motel is the Chicago-based solo project of singer-songwriter Greta Salpeter, formerly of The Hush Sound who are currently on a hiatus to pursue separate musical endeavors. The band consists of Salpeter (vocals, songs, piano/organ/keyboards), Eric Hehr (guitar), Dan Duszynski (guitar, vocals), Matt Minx (bass), Adam Kaltenhauser (drums). Their self-titled "Gold Motel EP" was released on December 15, 2009 followed by their full-length debut album "Summer House," which was released on June 1, 2010. Gold Motel is currently unsigned.

Bob Marley (February 6, 1945 – May 11, 1981), born Nesta Robert Marley which was later to be changed by passport officials to Robert Nesta Marley, was a Jamaican singer-songwriter, guitarist, and activist. He was the most widely known writer and performer of reggae, and more specifically roots reggae. He is famous for popularising the genre outside of Jamaica and the Caribbean. Much of his music dealt with the struggles of the spiritually wealthy rasta and/or spiritually powerful Jah Rastafari.
