The Hold Steady

The Hold Steady is a Brooklyn-based rock band formed by vocalist/guitarist Craig Finn (ex-Lifter Puller) in 2004. Wanting to capture the sound of bands such as The Replacements and The Grifters, he recruited guitarist Tad Kubler (also ex-Lifter Puller), drummer Judd Counsell, and bassist Galen Polivka. In 2005 the band grew to include Franz Nicolay on keyboards and Bobby Drake took over on drums following Counsell's departure. The band recently released their fourth album, Stay Positive, recorded again with Boys And Girls In America producer John Agnello.

J Roddy Walston And The Business

J. Roddy Walston and The Business is a Baltimore, Md.-based rock band playing melodic, often upbeat and catchy songs influenced by the Southern rock tradition and featuring accomplished lyrics and musicianship. Their songs are often piano-driven and also feature strong guitar solos. The band moved to Baltimore from Tennessee.

The Von Bondies

The Von Bondies are an American alternative rock band. The current members are Jason Stollsteimer on vocals and lead guitar, Christy Hunt on rhythm guitar, Leann Banks on bass guitar and Don Blum on drums.
The original line-up formed at the 1997 Cramps/Guitar Wolf show by Stollsteimer and Marcie Bolen[1]. They went through a variety of names, including The Baby Killers. They also had many member changes before settling on the band name The Von Bondies in 2000. Blum joined the band around 1999 after attending numerous Baby Killers shows, while Leann Banks was picked via an audition.

Metric

Metric is a new wave/indie rock band that was formed in 1998 in New York City, United States. They are currently based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The band consists of Emily Haines (vocals, keyboards), James Shaw (guitar), Josh Winstead (bass) and Joules Scott-Key (drums).
Their debut album, Grow Up and Blow Away, was recorded in 2001, but the official release was delayed for years by their record label.

Badly Drawn Boy is an independent singer-songwriter, born Damon Gough October 2, 1969 in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, although the family returned to Bolton, Lancashire before Gough reached the age of one. Gough chose his stage name from a character that appeared in the cartoon show "Sam And His Magic Ball" which he saw on TV at a party in Trafford, Manchester in 1995. Before he thought of using this name he made some 'business cards', each one unique, with a printed picture of a drawing by his nephew, and a small collage by Gough.

Minus Jack

I’m sure that most people from Bradford will still think of Minus Jack as those little kids with guitars. However you may not have realised, but these boys have grown up!.. Oh, and what little beauties they have become. Since they formed in 2006, Minus Jack have come a long, long way. Not only have they been featured on Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s house band, they have also supported ‘Pete And The Pirates’, ‘The Kabeedies’ and Indie legends ‘Ash’.
