Departure Lounge

There are at least two bands named 'Departure Lounge': 1) London four-piece alternative rock band, formed in 1988. 2) Christchurch, New Zealand downbeat/jazz band, led by Oakley Grenell aka O.G. The London four-piece Departure Lounge has been composing their own brand of alternative rock since the late '90s. Frontman Tim Keegan, who used to play guitar with Robyn Hitchcock & the Egyptians, formed Departure Lounge with guitarist Chris Anderson, percussionist Lindsay Jamieson, and bassist Jake Kyle.

Catcall’s sound omits whiffs of early Kate Bush, Grace Jones and Tom Tom Club but also stands next to contemporaries such as Santigold, The Knife and disco queen Glass Candy; her original style shows off a strong character, with beats and quirky melodies that quickly sublet their way into your brain 23-year old Catherine Kelleher (Sydney, Australia) cut her musical teeth as a teenager in DIY punk group Kiosk; a band famed for their polarizing and bratty no-wave noise sound but eventually discovered their pop sensibility within the aggression and urgency of punk rock.

The Heritage Orchestra

THE HERITAGE ORCHESTRA was initially devised for the Heritage club-night by Chris Wheeler & Jules Buckley. In June 2004 it was the biggest band ever to play in a UK club, with twelve string players; an eight-piece rhythm section; six brass; a woodwind section of six; and three vocalists. In its current state it performs with at least 43 musicians on stage. On Thursday 3rd June 2004 The Heritage Orchestra performed for the first time, attracting 600 people into Cargo; one of the few venues that could technically deal with the band.

Kym Mazelle

Kym Mazelle (born Kimberley Grigsby in 1960, in Gary, Indiana, U.S.) is an American soul music singer. She was brought up and lived on the same street as the Jackson family and knew Michael Jackson's mother and uncle. Early in her career, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, she enjoyed major success in the European house music scene, and performed as a member of Soul II Soul. However she is probably best known as the singer of the cover version of the song "Young Hearts Run Free", in the 1996 Baz Luhrmann film, William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet.

Ben Christophers is an English singer-songwriter. He wrote his first song at the age of five and has released four full length albums: My Beautiful Demon, Spoonface, The Spaces In Between and a limited edition album called Viewfinder. In 2010 he released a self-titled mini-album and toured with Imogen Heap. He is also part of the Blue Dreams, the backing band for Bat For Lashes. Christophers has had two TV documentaries made on him by the VPRO in Holland. He has written with and duetted with Françoise Hardy and toured with Tori Amos.
