Lydia is a two-piece (formerly six) indie rock group from Gilbert, Arizona. Lydia started out in 2003 as a five piece band: Leighton Antelman (Lead Vocals and Guitar), Steve McGraw (Guitar), Maria Sais De Sicilia (Backup vocals and Keyboard), Dustin Forsgren (Bass), and Loren Brinton (Drums). Corey Harris (born February 21, 1969, Denver, Colorado) is a guitarist based in New Orleans on the Alligator label. He spent some time in western Africa studying, and rhythms from this area are very prevalent in his music, most conspicuously in "Mississippi to Mali." He performs a wide variety of music, from poppy selections (Santoro, eg) to raw, traditional guitar and piano blues (Honeysuckle, eg). He is one of the few contemporary blues artists that is able to avoid being either a staunch traditionalist or totally separated from its roots.
Jinja Safari are an Australian indie act, formed in 2010 from a collaboration between Australian musicians Marcus Azon and Cameron 'Pepa' Knight, and eventually joined by Alister 'Nugget' Roach, Joe Citizen and Jacob Borg. Their first national exposure in Australia came from winning Australian Radio Station Triple J's 'Unearthed' competition in 2010. Their sound is comparable to Animal Collective, Sufjan Stevens and Sigur Ros.
