Sex Gang Children is an early gothic rock group that formed in the early 1980s in Britain. They were a very dramatic band, relying on heavy bass, tribal drumming, sudden mood shifts, a woozy cabaret ready sound that influenced the rise of the later dark cabaret scene, and yet another in a long line of goth singers with an odd, highly dramatic voice. Although the group only released one official album, their singles and various other tracks have been packaged into numerous collections, and they remain one of the better known bands out of the early goth scene.

Shihad are a four-piece band from New Zealand, comprising Jon Toogood (guitar/vocals), Tom Larkin (drums), Karl Kippenberger (bass) and Phil Knight (guitar). Their style is best described as "hard rock", although they were described as "metal" in their formative years. Shihad were formed in 1988 in Wellington, New Zealand. They were briefly known between 2002-2004 as "Pacifier". During this time the band was attempting to break into the US market and it was decided that Shihad sounded too much like the arabic word 'jihad', thus the name change. Rat City Riot was formed in 2003 with the sole purpose of rocking. Throughout many trials and tribulations, broken down vans, cancelled shows, and stolen equipment they kept true to their roots and it finally worked out for the better. Rat City Riot signed a record contract with TAANG! Records out of San Diego, CA in late 2004 with the scheduled release of "Dirty Rotten Games" set as January 15th 2005.

Bowling for Soup (acronym: BFS, or sometimes B4S) is an alternative, comedy band based in Denton, Texas (but originally from Wichita Falls, Texas) formed in 1994 from the ruins of an old metal band. Quoting Jaret Reddick, the lead singer, "we wanted to make happy music". They're known for their often humorous lyrics, upbeat guitar riffs, and Jaret's voice.
