There has been more than one band with the name Sedition. Perhaps the first was an anarcho punk/hardcore/post-punk/ band based in Northampton, UK, active from 1983 through 1987. Cassette and mp3 bootlegs of demos and live performances exist, but their only release was on a cassette-only compilation put out by the British Cold Spring Records (this was the label's, which is still going today as a key label in the 'industrial' scene, first release, and its cover is displayed on the label's webpage).
Hellbastard was a UK crust punk band formed in 1985. While bands like Amebix and Discharge may have been the first to play crust punk music, Hellbastard was the first to coin the term "crust punk" based around the culture of squatting and the gritty subgenre of hardcore punk that reflected this lifestyle. Hellbastard was formed by The Apostles' guitarist Scruff. The first line-up included Scruff on guitars/vocals, Simo on bass and Phil on drums. No recordings were made.
Massgrav is a high-energy hardcore punk band from Stockholm, Sweden. Back in the early '90s Johan and Ola used to hang out, drinking a lot of cheap wine while they were listening to old Mob 47 tapes and Discharge records (well, mostly the a-side on "Why" since Ola had glued it to his recordplate during a drinking session...) The Boys decided that it was time they did something on their own, so they wrote a few songs and formed Massgrav.
Beyond Pink is a hardcore-punk band from Malmö, Sweden. The band started in 2002. This is definitely something for all those into fast hardcore, as well as riot grrrls sounds and tradition of the 80's swedish hc/punk. Their music reflects how wide influences they have and it makes their music powerful and kicking. Their lyrics are alongside with the music, they reflect anger and critical views on issues like macho/sexistculture, violent dancing, cops, pro-life fundemantalists or corporate capitalism and their financial institutions like WTO and G8.
