Patrick Best Psychedelic noise/drone/folk band from Richmond, Virginia. They play dense, large-scale pieces of music that radiate inner warmth. They are influenced by Indian raga, the American primitivism of John Fahey, minimalism, and noise music.
Composer Pauline Oliveros is a maverick in the field of electronic music. Oliveros' first instrument was the accordion; as a teenager in Texas she played in a 100-piece accordion group that appeared at the rodeo. In 1949 she entered the University of Houston, but in 1952 transferred to San Francisco State College. Oliveros studied music privately with Robert Erickson and began to associate with a loose confederation of like-minded composers; Terry Riley, Steve Reich, and Morton Subotnick among them.
Australian drummer/percussionist Will Guthrie uses home-made instruments, amplified found and junk, microphones & electronics alongside more conventional drums and cymbals. Originally a drummer he has worked in many different settings of music: live performance, improvisation, studio composition.
Marlo Eggplant was born in Baltimore, MD. She was originally trained in voice, classical guitar, piano, and cello. She began her musical career favoring folk and punk by playing local venues as a teen. When she attended college in the Berkshires, she became more interested in avant garde and bizarre musics. In 2003, she co-founded Spleencoffin records with Timothy Wisniewski. She was the drummer in the short lived improvisational deconstructed noise rock band, Hazardous Guadalupe.
So Percussion is an American percussion quartet based in New York City. Comprised of members Josh Quillen, Adam Sliwinski, Jason Treuting, Eric Beach, and Lawson White, the group is well known for recording and touring internationally and for its work with composers such as Steve Reich, David Lang, Paul Lansky, Martin Bresnick, Steve Mackey, Fred Frith, Evan Ziporyn, and Arvo P
Fascinated with texture, modified timbres and ethereal stasis, joseph scott is a musician whose output consists of lo-fi live improvised drone-based music and, more recently, mid-fi songs informed by the aforementioned more avant-garde works. He has a rather idiosyncratic emphasis on creating an ecstatic but emotionally ambiguous musical moment and then attempting to sustain it with as little deviation from the work's 'musical heart' as possible. www.myspace.com/blossomandsurrender
Charalambides are a musical group originally from Houston, Texas, USA and lately of Austin, Texas. Formed in 1991 by Tom Carter and Christina Carter, adding Jason Bill and Heather Leigh Murray, they have followed in the footsteps of other Texas psychedelic music artists such as The 13th Floor Elevators, The Red Krayola, and Jandek. Their music contains elements typical of psychedelic music such as reverb, extended instrumental jamming and the use of found sounds, as well as elements of noise, avant garde, folk, and drone music.
Rovo is a psychedelic rock-jazz band founded in 1996 in Tokyo by former Boredoms guitarist Seiichi Yamamoto (山本精一), electric violinist Yuji Katsui (勝井祐二), and synthesizer/effects technician Tatsuki Masuko (益子樹), with Jin Harada (原田仁) on bass guitar, Hiroshi Nakanishi (中西宏司) on synths, and featuring two drummers/percussionists, the prolific Yasuhiro Yoshigaki (芳垣安洋) (of legendary improv noise group Ground-Zero) and Yoichi Okabe (岡部洋一).
A ) Axolotl is the project of Karl Bauer. Based in Brooklyn and San Francisco, the band has been active since 2002, and has included William Sabiston (Bulbs) on percussion, among many other collaborators. Karl uses violin, vocal, and other instrumental music often by using electronic processing

CoH is the musical alias of Иван Павлов (Ivan Pavlov), a Russian-born sound artist and engineer.
He has lived in Sweden since 1995. After Pavlov moved to Sweden, he adopted the alias COH which can be read in Cyrillic as well as in Latin and means in Russian 'sleep' or 'dream'. CoH was once a collaborator of Coil and also worked with Annie Anxiety, Richard Chartier and Cosey Fanni Tutti. Side projects include oxy and SoiSong (a band with ex-Coil member Peter Christopherson)
